Message So i am troubleshooting some weird engine issues, boosting fine but don't feel the power... I'm starting to worry that there might be something wrong with the engine. My friend who is also a mechanic that has helped me with this car did some research and said that if the timing is off this could cause the low compression numbers. I might not be doing the compression check right but i have disabled the fuel pump took one of the spark plugs out, removed the gas cap and tested each cyl... they all read about 100psi. all the same numbers. I'm not belching any smoke the car starts right up.... it just simply doesn't run right.

My friend had me check the crank angle sensor and it was very loose.. we are going to check the timing either tonight or tomorrow.

Could bad timing cause low compression numbers?
